ETA HORNSBY STATION at 9:15am for the 9:26 am Gosford train. ETA Gosford is 10:17 am.
Meet the bus and ETA 10:35 am - Bus it from Gosford Station to THE NOUGAT AND CHOCOLATE FACTORY for the best hot chocolate in the world or coffee and sweets. ETD 10:35am. ETA 10:45 am. Optional tour at 11 am to 11:30 am.
Stay there until 12 noon.
If time permits we will drop into Henry Kendall Cottage to learn about life in the 1800's and Henry Kendall's exceptional poetry
ETD 12 noon. Drive to Brooklyn/Hawkesbury River station and visit the park with the historical plaques and offer fish and chips takeaway for non oyster/prawn/smoked salmon feeders.
Drive to Hawkesbury River Oyster Shed for lunch by 1:30-2pm and finish lunch by 3 pm for the pearl eye candy feast!
3:30 to 4 pm drive back to Gosford station for the 5:06 pm ETA Hornsby station at 5:49pm tourists should be back to their cars at the car park by 6 pm. Or they can take a train or bus home.
So the Nougat/Chocolate/History/Oyster Feast Tour takes 9 hours altogether.

and McKell Park at Brooklyn just south of The Hawkesbury River railway bridge - a heritage-listed railway bridge in New South Wales, Australia that carries the Main North railway line across the Hawkesbury River.
Not Brooklyn, New York! But one of my forefathers led the charge against the rebels in New York 250 years ago and was soundly defeated. Thanks Grandpa!!! That’s why we ended up in Sydney not Long Island. Thanks very much for beating us America! Australia would never have been established as the new penal colony for Britain without that help.
The railway bridge was the last link in a railway network that linked the state capitals Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and was a major engineering feat at the time. The original railway bridge was built in 1889 and replaced by the current bridge in 1946. The 1946 bridge was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
The pylons of the original bridge still stand as tall memorials of 1889 to its closure on the 1st of July, 1946.
OUR GOLDEN SOIL & WEALTH FOR TOIL.
We will start our tour at Gosford station and head straight to the Nougat & Chocolate Factory at West Gosford.
There we have the option of enjoying the best hot chocolate in the world, and for those who want breakfast the best Eggs Benedict in the world. There is also an optional tour of the factory and of course the shop is full of irresistible goodies. My favorites are the chocolate marshmallow bars, followed by the soft nougat balls.
When we have sufficiently indulged we will head to the Hawkesbury River.
If time permits we will drop in to the Henry Kendall Cottage and I will read you some of Henry’s wonderful poems. you will see where he lived and understand more of the history of the area inside the museum.
OUR HOME IS GIRT BY SEA
We then head back down the coast to Brooklyn and McKell Park where the placards in the park remind us that this very spot was the place where the Australian Constitution was drafted and the Heads of Agreement signed by the State Premiers. Sir Henry Parkes, the equivalent of Abraham Lincoln in America, will receive the honor due his name - for once.
NATURES’S GIFTS OF BEAUTY RICH AND RARE.
After Brooklyn we will head to the Hawkesbury River Oyster Shed for the world’s best Pacific Oysters grown, shucked and cooked right there where we will have the option to eat them as Oysters Kilpatrick, Oysters Mornay, Oysters Naked, or Prawns, Smoked Salmon, Salad and or cheese. A complimentary glass of fine Hunter Valley White wine will accompany the food.
After our meal we will enjoy the other produce of the oyster, with a pearl lesson and an offer of pearl Jewelery from Australian Pearl Divers will be available at the Pearl Eye-Candy Show right there on the spot for girls who can never have enough pearls.
Then we will head back to Gosford Station via a couple of lookouts around the area which you can see a little drone footage of here on our site. This will happen if time permits.
You will end the day with a pleasant trip back to Sydney on “Lucy’s Train” with many photographs and fond memories to share.
